Mastercard announced the winners of the Mastercard Excellence Awards 2024 on November 16th, 2024. Themed ‘Leading by Resilience,’ this sixth edition of the awards celebrated the outstanding contributions of organizations in the banking, payments, and fintech sectors in Bangladesh.

Humaira Azam, Managing Director of LankaBangla Finance PLC. has received the Awards for Excellence in Mastercard Business (Innovation) 2023-24 and Excellence in Mastercard Contactless (Issuing) 2023-24 categories.

The prestigious award ceremony was graced by Dr. Ahsan H. Mansur, Hon’ble Governor of Bangladesh Bank, as the chief guest. Trishita Maula, Acting Deputy Chief of Mission at the US Embassy in Dhaka, attended as the Guest of Honor, alongside Syed Mohammad Kamal, Country Manager of Mastercard. Additionally, the event drew the participation of senior Management from leading banks, fintech, merchants, and various industry leaders, making it a significant and memorable occasion.
