In a significant move to enhance the country’s food distribution system, ShopUp, a leading ‘B2B Commerce’ Company through its subsidiary, “Mokam”, has entered into a strategic partnership with LankaBangla Finance PLC. The collaboration was officially sealed with a signing ceremony at ShopUp’s head office in SKS Tower, Mohakhali, Dhaka on February 6, 2024.
Under the agreement, LankaBangla Finance PLC. will facilitate financial support to the business partners associated with Mokam Distribution Centers across the country. Mokam primarily establishes direct connections with small-scale millers and producers within the network of small corner shops and grocery stores, currently serves approximately 3.1 Crore people in Bangladesh who purchase essential food and daily necessities through its networks. With this partnership, Mokam aims to deliver improved quality products to nearly 8 Crore people by the year 2026, making them accessible at fair prices, as expressed by Ataur Rahim Chowdhury, Co-Founder of ShopUp.
The signing ceremony was attended by other high-ranking officials, including A. K. M.
