On Sunday, October 15, 2023, SME Foundation in Mymensingh Division hosted a meeting for local entrepreneurs at the Mymensingh District Arts Academy Auditorium. The purpose was to connect entrepreneurs with bank and financial officials, facilitating loan opportunities. The event, titled ‘Mymensingh Divisional Organized SME Entrepreneur-Banker Conference and Loan Matchmaking-2023,’ aimed to arrange easy-term loans for small and medium-sized entrepreneurs, contributing to accelerate SME financing in Mymensingh Division.

Mr. Sharif Ahmed MP, Honorable State Minister, Ministry of Housing and Public Works, was the chief guest at the event. Ommey Salma Tanzia, Divisional Commissioner, Mymensingh; Mr. Md. Osman Ghani, Executive Director, Bangladesh Bank, Mymensingh Office; and Mr. Aminul Haque Shamim CIP, President, The Mymensingh Chamber of Commerce and Industry attended the event as special guests. In addition, Mr. Md. Mostafizar Rahman, Deputy Commissioner, and District Magistrate Mymensingh also attended the event as a special guest. The chairperson of the SME Foundation, Mr. Dr. Md. Masudur Rahman, chaired this event.

During the event, an SME entrepreneur-banker booth was set up in Shilpakala Academy to inform SME customers about the loans and services provided by banks and financial institutions. Mr. Mohammad Ali, Head of the Mymensingh branch, and other officials participated in the event to represent the CMSME loans and services of LankaBangla Finance PLC.
